On October 25th, at the French Chamber’s annual Hong Kong dinner, BEE Retail was graciously presented the 2019 SME Award.

In attendance at the dinner was former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, who gave a speech before the presentation of the award. This was the 7th annual presentation of the SME Award, which is granted to Hong Kong companies with more than 12 months of continuous operation founded by one or more French entrepreneurs. BEE Retail was crowned the 2019 winner of this award thanks to its outstanding innovation, performance, strategy, and social responsibility as well as its impressive roster of over 200 sustainability retail projects in 25 countries. BEE Retail Co-Founder and Managing Director Maxime Pruvost accepted the award on BEE Retail’s behalf.

BEE Retail will receive many gracious benefits thanks to sponsors of the SME award, including a complimentary booth at a Hong Kong Trade Development Council trade fair, a one-year free consultation offered by Mazars, an employment visa application and an employment agreement assistance thanks to Hawksford, and a one-year French Chamber SME membership as well as advertising on the French Chamber website. These gracious benefits total to a worth of about HK$85,000. BEE is very grateful to the French Chamber and other sponsors of the SME Award, as well as to the jury members who judged BEE as a worthy recipient.

Ji Won Choi

Ji Won is a Project Engineer at BEE Incorporations, where she is involved in projects and business development. Her professional interests are in the application of public health and sustainability at the building, community, and city-level.
