BEE Incorporations recently celebrated its 10 year anniversary at Greenbuild China 2019, the flagship event in the Asia Pacific region for sustainability professionals, hosted this year at W Hotel at the Bund in Shanghai on October 23-24. As one of 22 exhibitors at the event, BEE had the opportunity to showcase its latest at its exhibition booth and empower its brand by engaging with various industry leaders, experts and practitioners from not only China but over the world.

This year’s Greenbuild kicked off with USGBC CEO Mahesh Ramanujam’s Opening Plenary and highlighted keynote speakers from a wide variety of fields and backgrounds––from real estate developers to green technology innovators––who spoke about their vision about the future of China’s green building industry. Networking luncheons celebrated the outstanding LEED projects achieved in China and in North Asia, during which Andy To, the Managing Director of USGBC and GBCI North Asia, gave the awards to project owners that demonstrated leadership and innovation in sustainability.

Throughout its mornings and afternoons, the event was filled with conferences and educational sessions providing attendees with cutting-edge education on the latest green building and LEED case studies, also providing opportunities for attendees to earn continuing education hours. These sessions were available in both Mandarin and English, catering to local and international audience, and invited leading professionals from such enterprises renowned for their sustainability practices as Swire Properties, New World Development Company, Beijing Building Technology Development, Hong Kong West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, BCEG, and Schneider Electric.

Jing Wang, the Director of USGBC North Asia, moderated the discussion panel during Women in Green Breakfast, which inspired a dialogue between professionals from mass retailers H&M, Rothy’s, and McDonald’s to share their corporate sustainability initiatives and honored women in sustainability.

As a finale to the event, the Celebration Cocktail created an enjoyable and memorable setting for all attendees to salute the spirit and success of Greenbuild China, share knowledge, and make connections with sustainability advocates, practitioners, and professionals.
